IN THE EAR (ITE) HEARING AIDS

Custom Made Digital Hearingaids

An in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid is a type of hearing device designed to fit partially or completely within the ear canal and outer ear. These hearing aids are custom-made to suit the individual’s ear shape and size, ensuring a comfortable and discreet fit. They are particularly beneficial for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss. There are different types of in-ear hearing aids, and they can vary in size and features.

Larger size

These are the largest custom hearing aids as they fill the bowl of the ear making them more visible than other custom aids.

Suitable for severe hearing loss

The larger size makes them more suitable for severe hearing losses.

Various features and functionalities

ITEs have functions such as volume control, directional microphones, noise reduction, and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing them to connect wirelessly to other devices like smartphones or TVs.

Don't know which hearing aid is right for you? Talk to us

It is important to note that the suitability of an in-the-ear hearing aid depends on the individual’s hearing loss, ear anatomy, and lifestyle preferences. Before getting a hearing aid, it is  crucial to undergo a thorough hearing assessment by an audiologist who can help determine the most appropriate hearing aid style for your specific needs.

THE PROS AND CONS

Compare In Ear aids and Invisible aids

In Ear Hearing Aids (ITE) (ITC) (CIC)

ITE or In ear hearing aids cope better than ITC aids with background noise. The larger size means it is less likely to whistle.

ITE aids are more mangeable for people with limited dexterity.

ITE aids are suitable for all types of hearing loss, including sever or profound.

ITE aids are bigger, so not as disceet. The way it sits in your ear means it does not transfer sound naturally, and you may feel a "blocked" sensation.

With ITE aids you may require new impressions over time due to the natural change in shape of the ears.

Invisible Hearing Aids (IIC)

IIC aids have a very small size and are invisible for most ear shapes.

The microphone rests inside the ear and therefore replicates how your ear responds to sound around you.

There is less risk of whistling or feedback when using the phone.

It's small size makes it unsuitable for severe hearing loss, and the smallest don't offer a loop system option.

IIC aids are too small for some people to handle, and the microphone can get blocked with earwax.

The ear canal needs to be wide enough to fit the hearing aid and all the electronics.

Nothing but the best for our patients

Our hearing aids are packed with cutting-edge technology. Powered by advanced algorithms and signal processing, these miniature marvels can distinguish speech from background noise, providing crystal-clear sound even in challenging environments.
