Service Description

Swim plugs prevent water from entering your ears and reduce the risk of infection, especially if you have a perforated ear drum or a history of ear infections. They also reduce the risk of swimmers' ear and exostoses. These swim plugs are custom made silicone earplugs that float and come in bright colours so you can find them easily. If you need to hear some sounds around you e.g. when surfing then we have the 'Alert' option that feature a filter that allows you to hear sound whilst remaining protected from the water. Appointment Details During this appointment the audiologist will check the health of your ears and if it is OK to proceed, impressions will be taken of your ears. In some cases, it may be necessary to remove earwax before impressions can be taken; this microsuction service is chargeable.
